Sixteen Privacy Policy
Sixteen Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026
This policy explains what information the Sixteen puzzle game ("the app") uses, where it goes, and what stays on your device. It applies to Sixteen for Android and Sixteen for iPhone and iPad.
SUMMARY
- Sixteen has no accounts of its own, and the developer does not run any servers for the app.
- The developer does not collect, receive or sell your personal information.
- Your saved game, best score and settings stay on your device.
- On Android, the app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device information, including your advertising ID, to show and measure ads. You can remove ads with a one-time purchase.
- The leaderboard uses Google Play Games on Android and Apple Game Center on iPhone and iPad.
- The iPhone and iPad version shows no ads.
1. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The app stores the following on your device only:
- the puzzle you are playing and its number of moves
- your best (lowest) score
- whether you have bought Remove Ads (Android)
- counters that limit how often full-screen ads appear (Android)
- your ad privacy choices, if you are asked for them (Android)
None of this is sent to the developer. Your device may include it in its own backups (Google's Android backup, or iCloud or computer backups on iPhone and iPad), depending on your backup settings. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device.
2. ADVERTISING (ANDROID)
The Android version shows a banner at the top of the screen and, occasionally, a full-screen ad between games. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, and by other ad networks that bid through AdMob.
To show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, Google and its ad partners may collect:
- your device's advertising ID
- your IP address, from which an approximate location can be worked out
- device and app information, such as the device model, operating system, language and app version
- how you interact with ads, such as views and taps
The developer does not receive this information, apart from summary reports from AdMob (for example, the total number of ads shown).
Your choices:
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time under "Privacy Settings" in the app's How to Play screen.
- On any Android device you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's Settings (Google > Ads, or Security & privacy > Privacy > Ads, depending on the device).
- You can remove all ads with the one-time Remove Ads purchase.

3. LEADERBOARD
When you solve a puzzle, your number of moves is sent to the leaderboard:
- Android: Google Play Games. If you are signed in to Play Games, your score is submitted with your Play Games profile (gamer name and avatar), which other players can see on the leaderboard.
- iPhone and iPad: Apple Game Center, with your Game Center nickname.
If you are not signed in, no score is submitted and the game still works. Google's and Apple's privacy policies apply to these services:

- Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
4. PURCHASES (ANDROID)
Remove Ads is bought through Google Play. Google processes the payment, and the developer never receives your payment details. The app receives only a confirmation from Google Play that Remove Ads has been bought, so it can turn ads off and restore your purchase after a reinstall or on a new device.
5. CHILDREN
Sixteen is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
